Case description:

Officer Dustin Yates was travelling to a call without lights or sirens Dec. 31, 2008, when his squad car collided with Boggs’s vehicle at the intersection of East First and Mulberry streets. The Collision left Boggs paralysed from the neck down and needing full time medical care for the rest of his life. Evidence shows that Yates rand a red light and collided with Bogg’s car at high speed.
